Some Kind of "Magic": Craig David TS5 Concert Review
I, myself and my friends are still on cloud nine over the fact of what just happen to us. I just
love going to concerts because you get to meet people who turn into friends and end up family. Where should I begin in this story, well let’s start by me being in line with Marisa, Issac Agasi and Christina at The Roxy Theathe.
So the night before, Craig David was performing at The late late show [ which I tried to get tickets-SOLD OUT and the studio was two blocks from my hostel- which I didn’t know] and told them. Next time I need to be prepared. Craig also did an interview with ET which is on YouTube, which I need to watch and also he is going to be on Good Morning America on Thursday!!! So Craig is having a busy week here in the States.
Finally it hit seven so we can go inside the venue, in which we got front row and with no bar in between us and Craig. We all did our thing and held spots while we need to hit the restroom and bar. Is it me or I just been having Cranberry and Vodka for the past two days! We all taking pictures and everything, wondering who is going to show up to Craig David concert in L.A. A few celebrities always support each other. We were thinking Rita Ora, since my friend Issac was on a connection flight from San Jose to L.A.
After a hour and fifteen minutes with the DJ trying to keep us hyped up, Craig made his way on stage. He just looks like fine wine everytime I see this man!

This is my fourth TS5 show that I got to see him. Let me tell you he so mixed it up from the January show [this year] to now. Craig gave us, 90’s, music with a sprinkle of 2018 on it. He also added music from his new album The Time Is Now such as Live In The Moment, Heartline, I Know You and his brand new single Magic [I love this song, I love the whole album] and also from his last album Following My Intuition including Got It Good (which this was the first time he has played this track during a TS5 show).
Let’s see, Craig touch my hand like four times, we made eye contact when he was at his DJ booth [heeeyyyy] and I did get a video with us together, but the damn camera stop (NOOOO!!). But there is more. Tell me why Craig didn’t play Love Yourself by Justin Bieber. Better yet, tell me why he gave Justin a shout out from the stage to the VIP section of the club. Yes, Justin Bieber was in The Roxy Theathe! But it gets better OneSelfers… tell me why he was hanging behind my friends (which he was 3 people down from me) in the damn audience! I can’t make this up what so ever and the picture itself was dope as I don’t know what.
Everybody recorded this whole thing when Justin got on stage with Craig and it was beautiful. Craig is such a big influence on today’s artist that nobody doesn’t even know how Craig David shaped a generation with his music. Have you listen to Drake? Justin made sure people know that not only was Craig David was one of his favorite artist/influences but also Craig came out and supported young Justin in the beginning of his career at his shows in London! That is amazing. It was a beautiful thing to witness. After the show, which Marisa was dragging me by this other exit way, which we thought we may get another meet and greet and Craig. Well we did see Justin, I said hi as he was leaving out of the exit door and he gave me a head nod [saying “hi”] and yes I died. I literally seen Justin Bieber in the flesh with his long hair don’t care mode [and without Ms. Selena Gomez].
After that we took a group picture together to mark this great concert experience that we just
had. Marisa, Issac and I went to go get a bite at Mel’s Drive-In. Still on an amazing concert high talking over it all with burgers in front of us. Right as we were getting ready to leave, ET posted an article on Twitter about Justin [Bieber] at the Craig David concert (free press, also Craig was at ET early that day for an interview which you can find on their YouTube channel here) that he was at the concert with a blonde girl. That’s another blog post to talk about later. But I did get to at “heart” from TS5 Twitter page about the concert! I’m still on cloud nine! Best night of my life! Until next time OneSelfers!
