Invasion of Privacy Album Review
Stepping outside of my R&B vibe and into some hip-hop/rap is something that was indeed a must. Everything that I have read on my Facebook feed and Instagram, persuade me to listen to an album that I told myself I wasn't going to listen to. Now here I am… Invasion of Privacy with Cardi B blasting through my ears.
I wasn’t expecting what I have listen to. This album is a 13 track with no hidden songs to my knowledge. Do I love it? Do I hate it? Did I find a middle ground with Cardi B? I’m ready to give you my answer OneSelfers…. The album was indeed lit!
I wasn’t expecting to like the album. Period. I went into the album with no judgement, open mind to understand who the artist, Cardi B is all about. Cardi B you did. She left everything on the records she recorded. She even representing her culture while incorporating Spanish into her music (song: I Like It) In one day she went straight to Certified Gold after selling 500,000. [Update: She beat Taylor Swift in iTune sales]. Other artists in the industry are giving Cardi B the praise for her great album.
I do have my favorite on the album. My top favorite songs on Invasion of Privacy:
Best Life Ft. Chance the Rapper
I Like It
Ring Ft. Kehlani
She Bad with YG
Thru Your Phone
Note: I can mess with I Do ft. Sza
I think my only reason that this album didn’t get a 10/10 [9/10] review for me was due to track 3 called Bickenhead. I do get some YouTubers who mention Track 2 Drip ft. Migos when the song “dripping”. So you heard it from me OneSelfers, I wouldn’t mind bumping this album. Until my next review OneSelfers!
