Day 26- Cancelled Fresno Show
The last time that I wrote about a show being cancelled/reschedule was when my girl JoJo lost her voice and had to reschedule 8 dates, which included my San Diego trip. She let us know via email, and all social media in a timely matter. She even did a video of her with paper and showed us the journey that she went on to getting better and gave us one hell of a show. So tell me why I had to call out Day 26 for answers on social media to finally get the answers that I knew 80% chance through Facebook [yes I’m a detective].
Yes, the April 22, 2018 concert in Fresno has been cancelled.
To be honest people can say that I’m acting salty about the situation. I took time off of my job. I spent money [which I’m getting a refund from my ticket], shirt money and everything else. I’m just disappointed in the whole situation with letting fans know. I’m not mad at every band member. I’m mad at how it went down and how it was handled in an untimely matter.
When you have fans who is trying to keep your name alive which I do with most of the people that I listen to because they are not mainstream and people look at your crazy like “Who?” I think we deserve better. I had made a 2 tags on my instastories twice and lastly on April 20, 2018 approximately 5:50pm I wrote on their IG page (which I hope that I can remember)
“I wonder how ticketfly can email us about the cancellation but there was no word from you guys. Yes we are getting our money back but that’s a let down from the fans.”
Less than three hours later [8:26pm] they made an announcement on their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram about the cancelled date for Fresno. Mind you they didn’t even reschedule the Fresno date, which is a huge let down. Even one of my friends said that they didn’t show any compassion with this cancelled show. Even on their Facebook note they said that here are other shows in California we can attend.
It’s crazy how after 10 years, you were finally going to meet the guys that you have supported since day 1 [actually Day 26… 10 days after your birthday] and this is the thanks. Also my IG comment was deleted. The guys couldn’t even address your hardcore fans the truth. I may have been mad but giving us an honest answer would have changed my [our] mind. One of friend’s said that it should have been ticket sales, but she is willing to go with me to see the boys either in Sacramento or Oakland. I told her that I would let her know, if I do. Until now I’m just going to put my CD’s that I was going to have the guys sign and my t-shirt that I brought for the concert in the back of the closet. I’m sorry 17 years old Jazzman, your drem has been crushed. Until next time OneSelfers.
