Going Green
I didn’t think that going green would have everybody turning heads. I even had a guy feeling the movement. This moment was something that I was torn to making the decision on standing in a store deciding to play it safe or take the risk, a risk that I would have never made in my life. Well, it’s 2018 and sometimes we have to step out of the box and be different. And that being said, welcome to the year of green hair!
Back when I was in middle school all the way to the end of my freshman year of college, all I ever rocked was burgundy mixed with black hair with an occasional solid signature black. I started to experiment with some gold, purple, a streak of real and my all-time favorite color auburn (pictures below).
Now I’m going into the hair color of unknown and wearing a color that I have never wore before. I still can’t believe this is happening. I have been getting some positive feedback on my hair and everything. This has helped in my confidence to be bold and try something out of your routine if it’s your clothes, walking pattern or in my case hair. The different hair style that I can do was fun! (Don't judge my edges- natural life is hard in braids)
Note OneSelfers, this was my actual first time braiding my own hair. People said that I did a good job being that this was my first time braiding my hair in singles. I can’t wait to keep practicing. The only drawback would say is, if you are a slow braider set at least two days out with nothing to do but your hair. Since I work, it was a little harder. But I know next time how to section my hair.
