Victory On The Trails
I went hiking this past Monday and the experience is something for the scrapbook. I climbed up a state park trail. I felt so much like the time that I climbed Mount Vesuvius when I study abroad in Italy back in 2010. How I miss that summer…
This time around I felt like a triumph when it came to this hike. Out of everybody that went I was the biggest girl on the trip. I felt that my weight was going to stop me. I even had my bestfriend check on me during our hike to make sure that I was okay? Do I need to take a five minute break? That’s team work! At times I wonder how in the world I had the strengths to climb up trails in one of the beautiful forest that was created.
I never would have imagine that I would see varies of streams, waterfalls, hearing the stillness of nature sounds and the ocean breeze all wrapped into one. I even have two walking sticks. You got to be creative out in the park.
I felt like conquered this hike for my plus size OneSelfrs out there. Don’t let you size determined what you can or can not do. You can do whatever you set your mind to do. During the hike, there were sometimes that I did felt a little tired, holding the team up [in my mind] and hoping not to fall off a mountain. But I had a great support system. I had people around me encouraging me to keep going and not give up. Make sure you have people along on any journey that will be there to support you 100%. You need Full-Time friends, not Part-Time friends.
I hope that this will inspire any OneSelfers including my plus sizes ladies and men out there to take a risk. Take on a challenge that you never thought you could. Give it a try.
Post a comment about your victory that you ever had. It could be from the past or recently. Until next time OneSelfers
