Wedding Season Glam!
So, I know everybody saw the pictures, now you want to know how did I achieve
this look? Well let’s take a trip into my closet of mine. I attended my friend (Soul Sista) from college wedding about two weeks ago. The thing is that I had this dressed picked out about two months prior to the wedding. Did I plan this to happen? No. Do I get a high-five? Hell yes!
This beautiful dress I got at Ross Dress For Less (you know I be rocking these
low prices), which was intended for another wedding gathering, mind you. When I first tried it on, I thought I was going to die in the neckline (but didn’t). I loved the style of the dress. It was different. The thing is that I don’t plan the type of dress I’m going to wear (all the time), I just let the dress find me, or what catches my eye. That’s is key: “What catches your eye in fashion is what makes your authentic self-shine!” Hashtag that please! (Don’t take me shirt idea. TM that!)
The day of the wedding, it felt like hell. I was late getting off from work, and just to let everybody know I needed a clutch purse which I didn’t get until after I got off work and insoles (I learned from the last time at the Craig David concert!). Also, to round off everything that can go wrong, I walked in as they were being introduce as husband and wife. Yes, I was so late, so, I missed the wedding ceremony, but they were glad that I made it to celebrate.
~CONGRATULATIONS MR. & MRS. STOWE~
Now let’s go back to the fun beginning how I put everything together.
Putting the look together should be easy when you got everything together. But when you are rushing it, it sure does get messy. The only thing that I had problems with were my eye lids. They were so not liking me that day, but it did work out. I did in fact love the finish product of my outfit as well as the look.
During the wedding reception, some of the wedding guest loved my dress during the wedding reception:
“I love your dress”
“That color looks great on you”
“I really love your dress”,
“You look so fabulous”.
Yes, OneSelfers, I was Fine (dot) com #FineWine. And the random part about it was that my flower pattern almost matched my friend’s wedding dress (crazy!) She looked so beautiful in her dress (someone put her on a bridal magazine please!
Overall ladies (and gentlemen) you can still look fly on a budget. Style on a budget that is. Just let the outfit find you. Also, if you are trying to find this dress, good luck because I did get this dress back in March and the wedding was at the end of May. But you never know if your local Ross Store might have it on their floor. Until next time #OneSelfers
