My First Affiliate
I have been keeping this under wraps for a few weeks. You might have notice I have added a new link to my Instagram page. Well I’m excited that I will be a Brand Ambassador for a clothing company called Hot Miami Shades!
What is a Brand Ambassador?
A Brand Ambassador is being a “sponsored” by a company to promote that company’s product across a specific platform (ie. social media) or events.
A few months ago I thought to myself that I would love to work with a company to partner with them with their products and get the words out to other people including you OneSelfers. You might be wondering how a person get involves by becoming an affiliate.
1. Research The Company You Love
Each company is very different. I would recommend, if you are trying to be a brand ambassador, please do it with a company that you love. If you wear, shop and go to these places on a daily, make sure shout them out on your social media platforms. That way they see that you shop with them. Also keep researching your company on their websites and information on how to become an affiliate/partnership with the company(s) you seek.
2. Stand Out
I swear everytime I see or hear the word “Stand Out”, It so taking me back to A Goofy Movie, Max in the auditorium getting his Powerline on. Mind you, I’m singing the song right now. Say you tried #1 and it doesn’t work, but y standing out you get a company’s attention and they sent you an email and what to work with you. Always make sure if you have a blog and/or a current email address so that they can get in contact with you.
3. Understanding The Guidelines
Each company had rules that they follow while being an ambassador. Some will even have some perks while in the program. Sometimes you can earn commission from a sale. For example I have my own discount code so that you can earn But remember, you are representing the company, so in some kind of way you will need to say something positive about the company. Well unless they do you wrong then…
4. Are You Ready
Just remember, have fun while promoting their products. Have fun and be creative. I have heard in the past that they will ship you items so that you can promote the brand. Give it a try.
