Trench Coat Treasure

Okay, so this is not the best picture of my very first trench coat, but it's here! Let me tell you how I got this trench coat and how you might find one. This post maybe short but, I will get to the point.

I will let you know is that I wasn't looking for a trench coat AT ALL! The thing is that the coat found me and all of it's coatness...lol. I was at Ross (I lived there most of the time...lol) when I came across my treasure. I was actually leaving Ross when someone returned a coat. The coat caught me eye for a second and without looking at the tag I almost dismissed it because I thought that the coat wasn't going to fit me at all. The coat size was 2x and it was made by London Fog (Note: I have never heard of this brand until after I looked them up and they were a popular brand).

I decided to try on the coat and it fitted me like a glove! Now, it's time to reveal how much the coat. Let me break it down for you:

Yes everybody I bought the coat at a clearance price for $4.99. Time to take out a pen and paper or screen shot this page because here is the secret: I went shopping during the after holiday sales. Usually people do returns or exchanges mostly starting the second week of January. Also most items in stores that get any type of shipments for holiday items comes around the end of September/October. Now in order for any type of retail store to make room for the spring/summer items to come in they drop prices like crazy. That's how I brought my Bear Paws three years ago at Ross from $39.99 to $3.49. True story. So remember, shop when the season changes and ALWAYS hit up the clearance rack before anything else.
