The Choice is Yours
This maybe a short blog, but I need to get this out. So I experience two things in LA tonight: 1. Taking the Metro Bus and 2. Getting hit on by a cute guy that ended shortly.
1. In order for me to get to El Rey for my hotel I was going to take Uber. But instead I decided to take the bus to the theater. Let’s be a tourist and experience LA. I was very new at riding the bus in a different city but I went out and did it like a pro. The bus stop was literally two blocks from my hotel. I had great timing because I got on bus 20 (or it could be 720…still confused about bus routes here) and thank goodness because it was the right on time when I got to the bus stop. Bus 20 was indeed heading to the El Rey and hop on that bus to make it down there. Also a great tip, I looked up which bus to take, but also make sure you grab a bus schedule like I have picture below. That way you can be able to see the schedule and when the bus line ends for the night. My idea was to take the bus to El Rey and get an Uber after the show, but also discover that the metro bus line runs 24 hours. That’s really cool. Being my first time on my own in LA (not family trips in the car) I learned something new.
2. Tell me why after the Craig David concert (click the link for Craig David Concert Experience Review) at the bus stop on the way home this guy started to talk to me. Not making this up because I was sitting at the bus stop for about 15 minutes because the 720 had a DETOUR sign on the bus (so mad). His name was Nate. Mind you, even though I was nice I had sure my purse was by me...I don’t play that. He asked me for mines and when I told him he said that my name was pretty. I said thank you and then in my mind I was “OMG!!”. So we talk for about five minute asking me about the next bus and if it was going to his way. He notices and said I’m not from around here and I was like “yea” and I ask him was he from LA and he was. Not going to lie, he was cute Caucasian guy. Bus 20 pop up out of random and Nate was trying to get me to stay to wait for the 720…mind you the bus driver (who was African American) was like “you going to get on today or not.” mindset. So I had to make a choice: 1. Stay with the cutie or 2. Get on the bus to get to the hotel?
I got on the bus…
I know, the night was young, just got done having the best night of my life with Craig David and I chicken out. Even though I didn’t stay, I made a great choice because I rather live to see another day. Mind you, the bus driver was like “Dang I messed up his game”. I just smiled (the bus driver even told me to be careful getting back to where I was going). I still can’t believe that even happened to me. I don’t know if I was high off the concert and I had this crazy confidence, but I’m so shy around guys. Okay, I joke around with guys because I have a funny sense of humor. I’m just surprise I was open to a stranger, who could have killed me. I’m not sure that the kindness of So Cal people or the fact that he wanted to really get to know me, or the hook up…mmm….I would never know. I just need to learn how to express myself more, being open to the dating side with guys (WHILE BEING SAFE) and most of all take the risk. I haven’t been taking risk like I used too but I will soon enough. Hey I still got San Diego next month for the JoJo concert. Until next time #Oneselfers!
