Big Easy Bites & Booze Tour: A Must Do

My trip in San Diego was planned with my JoJo concert in mind. Check out my blog post JoJo Mad Love. Concert: The Reschedule! for my reschedule date to San Diego. Now I have to change up my plans and do something while on this mini vacation. Well come to find out after my JoJo concert was reschedule that this coming weekend was Mardi Grais weekend (Feb. 28th). I’m not sure how I forgot, but I did. Anyways, I decided that I was going to partake in the mini version of Mardi Grais on Saturday called Bites & Booze Tour and it ran from 1pm to 5pm. Basically, this event is held in Gaslamp Quarter District and the fee to participate was $25 before the 24th and $30 the day of the event. There was like a $3.50 fee online, but I found a $5 promo code that took off $5, making my total $23.50 (we save over here…lol). Also this event is 21 and up!

So we had to meet at Tim Roof which was off G street. The event offered 20 Mardi Gras inspired cocktail sips & 20 Mardi Gras small plates of food at each stop while collecting BEADS, BEADS, and more BEADS!!! – just in time to deck yourself out for Fat Tuesday (which I won’t get to be there). When you collect 10 beads and get access to the exclusive rooftop after party! So the adventure began!

I had no order as to how to do this. We we free to go any location on our maps to collect our bead to get into the After Party. If you take a look above, I taken a few pictures of different locations I went. The great thing about it was that I got to take a sample of what the establishments offered and would I come back. And I must say, when I do come back I will be going to a few of them. Each place was different and unique. I loved it. I was getting eating drinking, exercising...didI say I was drinking (lol) and repeat.

I'm not going to lie, but I had so much fun doing this tour. I didn't know that a lot of people would attend this event. The price for the event was all worth every penny. A few people even dressed up and this one group was playing New Orleans music. I was so...what's the word "Turnt Up!" I was by myself during this whole thing, but I did the damn thing! I may have to schedule another trip to San Diego during Mardi Gras weekend again! Matter of fact...I will come back again for this amazing experience. This is a must if you are going to be in San Diego during the weekend of Mardi Gras. If this was fun I know the actual day of Mardi Gras is Turnt Up! Also I will leave so information about the event under resources at the bottom of the blog post. Until next time #Oneselfers.
